Technical Project Management  : Large development projects involving application level software, deep embedded software, hardware design and mechanical engineering have been managed from concept through to support of an installed base. Familiarity with industry standard techniques and tools has been key in improving processes in organizations, however, for good project management it is not simply a matter of more process or methodology, the approach has to be tuned to the organization and its development and process maturity. At BESL we have sufficient experience not to be locked into development ideologies but are flexible enough to see what is needed and to keep focus on the success criteria.

Translating a concept into an engineering plan with risks identified and appropriate tradeoffs made requires significant experience to do well. Furthermore on complex development efforts where a wide range of disciplines are brought to bear it can be difficult to find the necessarily experienced management to ensure that the all team members collaborate well.
